Editorial Story
The paired photographs document the same fireplace before and after its tile remodel.
The original square-tile surround and hearth were replaced with larger marble-look surfaces that give the firebox a more continuous architectural frame.
Planning
The firebox, existing opening, surrounding wall, and raised hearth established the visible limits of the new tile composition.
Product specifications and the project location have not been confirmed.
Installation
Large-format marble-look tile was fitted across the surround and hearth, replacing the smaller white tile visible in the original condition.
Finished Details
The finished view shows fewer grout lines, continued veining, and a tiled hearth that connects the new surround to the existing wood floor.
